The install
Done right the first time, so you're not back up the roof in six months.
Obstruction survey
Before anything is drilled we check the sky view across your property, north-facing, clear of trees, chimneys and sheds, and find the spot that gives the dish a clean line to the satellites.
Best-placement & mounting
Roof bracket, a 3, 6 m galvanised pole, or a freestanding 6, 10 m mast for heavily treed blocks, braced for wind, kept within 40° of vertical, with the cable sealed and trenched back to the house.
Cabling & power
Conduit, weatherproof glands, surge protection and a tidy power supply for the router. Licensed electrical work is subcontracted to a licensed electrician, no shortcuts.
WiFi calling, phone and internet across the whole property
One router in the house won't cover a working property, so we carry WiFi, phone coverage and WiFi calling everywhere.
WiFi calling in black spots
The killer feature for rural. With Starlink WiFi reaching your phone, it uses WiFi calling to make and take ordinary calls and texts over the satellite link, phone service even where there's no cell coverage at all. We set it up and check it across the house and shed.
Point-to-point links to the shed
No trenching. We beam a point-to-point wireless link from the house to the shed and other buildings, so they get their own WiFi and phone coverage, and for the big distances we cross-link with Long Range WiFi and Paddock Networks.
House, shed, yards & granny flat
Access points placed where people actually live and work, the kitchen, the office, the dairy, the workshop, the granny flat, so the WiFi and WiFi calling are strong in the buildings, not just next to the router.
CCTV installations

4G failover
Where there's mobile coverage, a 4G backup takes over automatically the moment the satellite link drops, so a storm cell doesn't end your work-from-home day or drop your call.

Questions people ask
Can I make phone calls with no cell coverage?
Yes, that's the big win for rural. Once Starlink WiFi reaches your phone, the phone uses WiFi calling to make and take ordinary calls and texts over the satellite connection, even in a complete mobile black spot. Most modern phones support WiFi calling; we set it up and confirm it works across the house and shed.
How do you get WiFi and phone coverage to the shed?
We beam a point-to-point wireless link from the house to the shed and other buildings, no trenching, then place access points so each building gets its own strong WiFi and WiFi calling. The same approach covers the dairy, workshop, yards and a granny flat.
Can Starlink work on a heavily treed rural block?
Usually yes, but the dish has to clear the canopy. We run an obstruction survey, then mount on a 3, 6 m galvanised pole, or a freestanding 6, 10 m mast in a cleared spot with the cable trenched back, when the trees require it. A clear view of the sky is the single biggest factor in speed and reliability.
Where should the dish be placed to avoid obstructions?
Facing north in Australia, within about 40° of vertical, and high enough to clear trees, chimneys and sheds. We confirm the spot with an obstruction scan before drilling, then brace the mount for wind so it holds its clear view of the sky.
Can you install CCTV on the same network?
Yes. We fit solar and connected cameras and tie them into the same Starlink network, so you can watch the gate, shed and yards from your phone. Want sensors too, gates, tanks, pumps? See Rural IoT.
Can you distribute one Starlink across the whole property?
Yes, that's most of what we do. Point-to-point links and access points carry a single Starlink connection across the property, and for the big distances we cross-link with our Long Range WiFi and Paddock Networks services.
